A lot of time and money is spent in our society on the public affirmation of union that is marriage, but little on the ending of such a relationship.  In often acrimonious circumstances it would be unlikely that both partners would care to ceremonially un-marry, though this could be a very interesting and affirming occasion.  

 

For a single partner, a divorce or seperation ceremony could be a real statement about putting the past behind them and moving on into a new stage of their life.  There are many creative possibilities for designing a ceremeny to mark such a life changing moment which would then be held in a venue, public or private, of your choice, with as many or as few people in attendance as you choose.
